Don’t let the name fool you, this isn’t a dumble, steel string clone. Inspired by a cascading tube amp with each adding to your tone.
This is cascading JFETs, individually adjustable bias, matched for gain and tone. Vintage 1N914 diodes equivalents in hard clipping between Q2 and Q3. Red LEDs at the end to prevent voltage overload and clip an already clipped signal.
Adjust the gain to get a nice round overdrive with just transistor color, turn it up a bit to bring in the diodes and then crank it to hit the LEDs and add all the harmonics and texture of a pushed tube amp.
Tone control is a Muff style sweep balancing a high pass and low pass filter designed for a slight mid hump in the middle.
